It’s been about 6 months since my last entry. So I’d like to thank my friend Sam for inspiring me to update my blog after he posted his first blog post. Kudos to you, Sam! Oooh you got KUDOS, so lucky
Getting down to business, I’m now in university (Cue really late NEWSFLASH symbol) and in the Honours Environmental Studies Program. Fast forward to the end of my first semester, I got a 7 major average. This is not good because I need at least an 8 to stay in my program; I have to improve the average by May. So I decided to attend S.T.E.P.s programs:

They’re really useful for helping you study more effectively and making notes^^. I suggest it to everyone. Also, I ended up signing up with the Student Disability Services because of my epilepsy, so now I write my midterms and exams with them. I like the atmosphere a lot better, it’s more laid-back and less stressful so taking exams there mean I’m less likely to have a seizure triggered.
Another new thing: I’m now the Treasurer of the Environmental Studies club. It’s a lot of fun, there are a lot of social events (like movie nights and trips to Point Pelee) but we also do cleanups and donating to charities. Our first meeting was on Thursday January 21 2010 at 1pm (so if you saw me rushing around that say, that was why. HUzzah! Only having 5 minutes to eat before being rushes to class). We’re planning lots of events so I hope anyone that’d be interested in joining would let me know so I can keep you informed about what’s going on. It’s keeping me much busier than I thought it would. Cue example:
Monday I have a meeting at 10:30 with Dr. Graniero (our program head), Env Studies Commitee members and Env Studies Club members (including me) to discuss ways to make communication between the three easier.
Another new thing XD: I’ve moved into residence, Dun DUn DUN!!!! So on top of it all I’m no longer at home. People said they’d visit sometime but no one has DX. But yeah, my floormates are all really nice; I know a lot of them. They like to party though and can be quite loud (I can hear them from my room which is the opposite end of where the lounge is). Even though I requested a private room through SDS, I was given a roommate. She’s from Uganda which is really cool.
Anyways…I’m now cued up to the present so that’s about it for now. Jessica, signing off!!!!
