Harry Potter and the Half Blood Comedy
So on Wednesday, I was invited by Liane and her family to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at 10:15pm. I didn’t really enjoy the sixth book, but I wanted to see how the movie adaptation would turn out.
But, I went over to her house early to hang out. We rented Tales of Vesperia and spent all day playing it. @.@ Yuri is even more amazing in HD.
“Remember? Prepare to die, eggbear!”
One of the best lines in the game, said in his lovely falsetto voice, when mocking Karol XD. There are many other awesome things in that game, but I shall avoid posting them to avoid giving spoilage 8D.
So, after playing Tales of Vesperia all day (literally), we prepared to go wait in the extremely long line to go see the movie. It was really warm in line because they had us packed together like sardines ;o. We ended up with really good seats, though.
After two hours of waiting, there we are, sitting in our seats. The lights dim and the before-movie previews begin. Why? Oh why did they have to include the New Moon trailer?! It was scary >.<, but happy and elating when Edward said he was leaving Bella. *cackles maniacally*
Fast forward 15 minutes and the movie begins for real. It was quite strange…the whole movie was filled with light hearted jokes (not like the book at all) and then when it comes to Harry going with Dumbledore to get the Hocrux, it’s like someone flips a switch. It suddenly becomes angsty and they pile it on really thick; I left the movie disappointed. It seems like they cut out important scenes of the movie, made new events, and the ending seemed rushed to me.
Oh well, let’s hope Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2 will be better. Deathly Hallows…that was slightly disappointing, as a book, as well. The epilogue ruined the story for me. Albus Severus Potter? Blegh. Ginny and Harry? Yuck!
That’s it for now! This is a simple otaku signing off! *tries to be all news reporter-like*

“Quick! Let’s reward all the small children with family comedy before they get bored with angstoverload and leave! Harry Potter is MAGICAL Whimsical, man!” XD
(I haven’t seen it yet. Will do so when it comes out on DVD probably.) Ginny and Harry is really weird for me as well… bleh. Emma is the prettiest one there… in most movies, she’d get the nicest looking male. Anyway, maybe the trio should all remain bachelors forever.

XD That sounds about right. Hmm, that might work. It certainly would annoy all the Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione shippers =D.

I can’t believe I forgot to comment when I read this – I guess I’ll comment now XD I have to admit, I liked the jokes in it (some were very funny), but I agree on the shipping, I have a lot of other pairs I prefer. The movie could’ve been better, and the moods could have been more … “equal” … but I thought it was okay… hopefully they cut out the epilogue entirely in the final movie!
