Feel the Pain of Those Inferior Beings as you Burn in Hell

*coughs* No, Kratos’ quote has nothing to do with this blogpost. I just thought it was super awesome <3

Anyways, first thing on my agenda is reflecting on my residence experience. As you know the semester’s almost over and I’ve had a great time here in residence. Many people have asked my what I’ve thought of it, but I always replied with “It’s good” because it’s difficult to put my experience into words. I’m going to attempt to here though.

Okay, so it was a little rocky in the beginning. I really missed my family and it was hard to adjust. My roommate, while not best of buddies, wasn’t my enemy either so it wasn’t the worst it could have been. One thing I really liked about residence though was the sheer amount of people I met. Some of them will probably go onto being good friends with me. Everyone’s so nice and willing to help out. The WIRC puts on many events in order to let new people meet each other and they even put in a lot of money into the individual residence End of the Year bashes.

For example, yesterday they brought in the marble slab creamery icecream, a BBQ, cotton candy, and water games. Everyone was just hanging out with each other on that nice, sunny day. It was a blast. This first semester of residence will definitely be something that stays in my heart for the rest of my life. Here’s looking forward to another year in the fall!

Now it’s just before exams, time to buckle down and prove that I can stay in my Honour’s Environmental Studies program because, despite all the tears I’ve shed from all of the hard times, I wouldn’t trade this first year of university for anything in the world; there have been just as many good times and so when I look back on my first year, those times stand out more, shining brighter that any bad moment seems insignificant in comparison.
